ABOUT

ALICE REDGATE

Alice Redgate has experience across development, production, and post-production, working on documentaries for major broadcasters including National Geographic, ABC TV, Discovery Channel and ZDF, as well as a feature documentary screened at Event Cinemas across Australia.

With a background in Biology (BSc) and Strategic Communication (MA), and as a qualified PADI Instructor, Alice is fascinated by wildlife, nature, and character led stories told in the great outdoors.

Experienced in Location Managing and Producing for overseas production companies, where she was responsible for identifying, contacting, and liaising with contributors across Australia, and internationally, as well as forming budgets and organising schedules, crew contracts, filming permits, vehicles, and accommodation prior to film crews’ arrival in Western Australia.

In 2023, Alice headed up a two week shoot across Australia with a film crew from ZDF to shoot one of their most popular hosted natural history shows, with a nightly audience of five million viewers.

Alice is currently being mentored by four-time Emmy Award nominee Leighton De Barros (CEO – Executive Producer - Director of Development and Production) and Jodie De Barros (CEO – Executive Producer), through all phases of production from development to delivery. Dedicated to building new relationships, expanding her knowledge base, and creating opportunities for growth, Alice is a member of Screen Producers Australia and Women In Film & TV (WIFT) Western Australia.
